Lulav and Etrog Sale
Aug

Lulav and Etrog Sale

  • Congregation Beth Shalom (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The book of Leviticus (chapter 23:41) tells us "You shall take the product of hadar trees, branches of palm trees, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God." This verse refers to the arba’ah minim or the “four species,” the etrog, lulav, myrtle (hadas) and willow (aravah) which we gather together for the festival of Sukkot. Together, these four species represent the beauty of the land of Israel.
Once again the Beth Shalom Men's Club is participating in this special Mitzvah Project to help make it easier for all of us to celebrate this wonderful holiday. The Men’s Club will order Lulav and Etrog set(s) for you and have them delivered to Beth Sha-lom for pick up in the Social Hall on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday prior to or on Sukkot for use here and at home.
The cost per set is only $54 (payable in advance to the Men's Club of Beth Shalom), and your order must be received in the synagogue office no later than Monday, September 25. For more information contact Richard Racusin, 248.890.0635 (cell) or rchrdgrcsn@aol.com (email).
We look forward to having a large procession of carriers of Lulavim and Etrogim
during our Sukkot Services and making a lulav shake!
Chag Same'ach!
