Emergency Update

After hours of earnest contemplation and discussion, we have made the extremely difficult decision to suspend our congregational programs and events through the conclusion of Passover (April 19, 2020).  The health and safety of the Congregation Beth Shalom family must be our primary concern. Thus, we made a choice based on the overwhelming procedural recommendations of community medical advisors.

Although our building will remain open during its normal business hours during this challenging time, the following activities will be suspended, effective immediately, through April 19, 2020:

  • Regular Friday and Saturday Shabbat services;
  • ALL in-person meetings, events and programs (both on- and off-site);
  • Daily and Sunday Minyan services;
  • Regular clergy and hospital and nursing home visits (although both Rabbi Gamer and Cantor Greenbaum will be available for pastoral care via telephone or video)
  • We will re-assess and evaluate this decision as additional information is made known.  Regardless, please be assured that we are here for you. The leadership is grateful for your anticipated understanding.

We wish you both health and strength during these difficult times.  Should you wish to contact us, our phone numbers are the following:

Rabbi Gamer: (847) 571-1276

Cantor Greenbaum: (248) 417-5632

Bryan Beckerman: (248) 354-0380
